For softer, low-alloy knife steels: Can be used with a honing rod and minimal practice to maintain sharpness for extended periods.

For high-alloy steels: Works well in combination with a P400–P2000 diamond sharpener or with our 6 micron diamond honing spray for routine maintenance.

For mirror polishing: Enhances results when used with green chromium oxide compound/diamond paste/ our 1 micron diamond honing spray
